Biography

Athena Aura Nova was born in the former country of Czechoslovakia to a mom who was open about sexuality. Athena loved to dance since she could walk, and she taught ballroom dancing before becoming an exotic dancer in 2002. She quickly became enamored with the art of pole dancing. Harnessing her natural talent and applying it to her newfound passion, she began perfecting her craft as exotic dancer. She holds several titles and many accolades, including Miss Nude Oregon 2005.

During time living in San Francisco, Athena trained in BDSM and founded a successful high-end bachelor party service. In Portland, Athena continues training and expanding her repertoire to teach others. Athena loves to share knowledge with new dancers, which led her to become a certified pole dance instructor.  Pole dance training with Athena will help you feel better about your body and the control you have over it, improve your pole work and perk up your mood!

As a performer, dancer and instructor, Athena consistently challenges herself with new goals. In 2011, she founded the NWPDA. Athena continues her education and training with some of the best pole dancers in the world, including: Jamilla DeVille, Fawnia Dietrich and Zoraya Judd.
